- Here on Naruto: Flying Legends, we are more focused on your activity in the forum, not how many words a person has the time to type up. For that reason, we have decided to eliminate growth based solely on word counts. Instead, we use an Experience System also labled Exp on your profile.
The Experience system is quite easy to follow. Basically, by being active on the forum, more so in actual Character Role-playing Development, your character will gain experience. This way, people that are active are rewarded for their efforts of being active because we value this greatly. Experience comes from posting anywhere, but only posting in RP gives the best reward.
When Experience accumulates, you are then able to use it to spend on new Jutsu, Summons, Poisons, Bloodline Growth (For bloodlines with Stages, such as Doujutsu), and virtually everything that needs to be acquired through means of training. It will be subtracted from your total when you post your update for it in your Character's Update thread.
Experience is also regulated by the Administrators meaning that it is true that subtracting Exp can occur for infractions made in RP based on written and quite obvious knowledge. But, this also means that it can be given out in rewards for contests, and when you fit some certain RP circumstances in which your character deserves extra.

- Jutsu System-
In order to obtain jutsu, you must spend the amount of experience given below. This amount will be subtracted from your total amount upon approval of your Character Update.
D - Rank = 25 Exp These jutsu, after spending the required Experience, are automatically learned.
C - Rank = 50 Exp These jutsu, after spending the required Experience, are automatically learned.
B - Rank = 80 Exp These jutsu, after spending the required Experience, are automatically learned.
A - Rank = 150 Exp These jutsu, after spending the required Experience, are automatically learned.
S - Rank = 250 Exp These jutsu, after spending the required Experience, are automatically learned.
SS - Rank = 400 Exp These jutsu, after spending the required Experience, are automatically learned.
The word requirements in addition to the experience is required to learn jutsu. These numbers go for Custom techniques as well.
Special Jutsu Rulings / Bonuses for Genin
Genin are incapable of learning S and A Rank techniques on their own. They must be taught by a Jounin oor higher ranking shinobi. Remember, those techniques are of the most lethal of jutsu.
Also, by getting taught by a sensei, a genin's experience is doubled per post.

- Learning an Element
Everyone starts with a minimum of 1 Element. According to the series, acquiring more elements is not the easiest feat as most shinobi only have two elements by the time they reach the rank of jounin.
So, also using the experience system, you can learn more elements. But, as you learn more, it becomes increasingly difficult. Very much so. But, if you save up your Experience, it's not impossible to attain, just very hard. To learn your first element [Meaning under the hypothetical situation that you begin with no element which tends to be uncommon] - 200 exp
• To learn your second element - 1000 Exp
• To learn your third element - 2,500 Exp
• To learn your fourth element - 5,500 Exp
• To learn your fifth element - 8,000 Exp
This means that even should you start with the highest amount of elements possible [2], it would still take a total of 17,200 Exp to attain all five singular elements. Attaining singular elements does not give one access to Advanced Elements [Such as Ice, Wood, etc.] unless he/she possesses the required Bloodline.

- Summoning Contract System-
In order to learn a summoning, you must first learn the Generic Contract Summoning Technique [which is ranked at C].
D - Rank = 75 Exp These Summonings, after spending the required Experience, are automatically learned.
C - Rank = 150 Exp These Summonings, after spending the required Experience, take 250 words to learn.
B - Rank = 225 Exp These Summonings, after spending the required Experience, take 500 words to learn.
A - Rank = 300 Exp These Summonings, after spending the required Experience, take 750 words to learn.
S - Rank = 500 Exp These Summonings, after spending the required Experience, take 1000 words to learn.
SS - Rank = No such summon can be considered this. Though, this would be the rank that the Bijuu are considered.
